Using Intuition in Your Career and Business

...and most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
- Steve Jobs

Intuition is the missing component in the careers of many businesspeople and professionals. Yet learning to use your intuition can greatly improve the chances of getting the results you want - whether it’s improving the bottom line, making it to the top, or both. Intuition can be of great help when making personal decisions, such as buying real estate or investing, and it also can inform your personal relationships.

For a lot of people, the word
intuition conjures up images of gypsies gazing into crystal balls and pronouncing an unalterable fate. But the truth is, intuition is something we all use: it’s already in your toolbox. Some of the most successful people get ahead by consciously developing and using their intuition. In fact, research has shown that people who consciously use their intuition are highly original, creative, and independent in their thinking. They are leaders. Consider:

- a doctor who always seems to know what tests to order for her patients
- a buyer for a store who can spot trends before they become popular
- a businessman who knows which deals to close and which to let go

It is always with excitement that I wake up in the morning wondering what my Intuition will toss up to me, like gifts from the sea. I work with it and rely on it. It’s my partner. - Jonas Salk

You’ve done the cost/benefit analysis, and you understand the risks and rewards, but you’re still stuck. What do you do? By accessing your intuition, you can gain a clearer and more complete view of the situation. Having good intuition is like having a road map - you don’t have to wander around looking for the best route.

Using Intuition in Your Career and Business will teach you:

- easy and practical steps to using intuition
- the four major types of intuition, and how to use them all
- how to identify your main intuitive strategy
- how to differentiate your intuition from simple fear and doubt
- how and when to use intuition in your business and career decisions
- when to seek intuitive guidance from outside

One of the best things about developing and using your intuition in career is that it doesn’t take a lot of time. In fact, many effective and easy techniques take less than a minute to apply in real-world situations. Remembering to use them is often more challenging than actually implementing intuitive skills.

A few hours can improve career and business results for you, your employees, and your coworkers!

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m not into mystical/spiritual stuff, can I still use my intuition? Do I have any? Intuition isn’t tied to any particular spiritual or mystical system. It does suppose that our awareness is not as limited as we often think it is. Modern consciousness research strongly shows that we all have intuitive abilities, and that we can develop them with practice.

Isn’t using your intuition just giving up on your thinking skills? No! Intuition and reason are not opposed to each other, and they can work together to help you come to a better, more grounded, decision. Your intuition will not lead you to make decisions that your rational mind would not make - it will help your rational mind to see possibilities that it might otherwise miss, and to make choices with which you can be comfortable.

I really don’t have a lot of time in my day, and I need to make decisions quickly. That’s not a problem! In fact, once you get used to using your intuition, you’ll work faster and more efficiently, because you’ll be able to sort out what’s important, and won’t need to vacillate before acting. It’s true that a little meditation time can greatly help intuitive skills, but once you get in the swing of using your intuition you’ll find you have that time.

If a group of us are all using our intuition, won’t we come to different conclusions? You already have that problem in your workplace! Now, intuition won’t cut down on the diversity of ideas that are present, but it will help you all to see new solutions to problems and new directions forward. The goal of intuition in a group setting is not to reduce individuality, but to maximize the greatest benefit from our diversity. A group that uses intuition is engaging with each other not just on a verbal level, but also on the intuitive level. Most people find that friction decreases and cohesion increases when intuition is used.

I’m kind of set in my ways, and bit older, can I still learn this? Yes. Intuitive skills are part of our basic makeup, and you can access yours at any age. All you need is to be open to the possibility.

Is this about learning astrology or Tarot cards or something like that? No Ouija boards required! Astrology, Tarot, and other "occult" arts can help some people use their intuition in a variety of contexts. However, they are not necessary for using intuition in a business or professional setting, and even many professional psychics don't rely on them. You won't have to sneak off to your office to consult the cards in order to make intuitive decisions. For those who are interested, a brief survey of these intuitive methods is presented as part of the training.

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
- Albert Einstein
